A therapist who already understands queer lives
Affirming therapy is about having a space where all parts of who you are are welcome.
Your sexuality, gender, relationships or the way you experience your body are not things that need to be fixed or changed. Therapy can instead be a place to explore what it has been like to move through the world as you, including experiences of shame, rejection, misunderstanding or feeling different.
It’s about being able to explore your experiences openly, with a therapist who won’t make assumptions about who you are, how your relationships should look, or the life you should want for yourself.
I hold specialist training in Gender, Sexual and Relationship Diversity and in Queer Relationships and Queer Therapy (both with COSRT), alongside trans awareness training and LGBTQ+ informed supervision. I work with consensual non-monogamy, polyamory and kink without judgement, and I use the words you use for yourself.
"To be yourself is a revolutionary act, and to make the choice to be authentically you is the most powerful choice you can make." — Laverne Cox

Supervision for therapistsHow I practise
- I do not practise, endorse or refer for any form of conversion or "reparative" therapy.
- Your pronouns and chosen name are used from the first message, and the intake form asks for them.
- You choose what identity work, if any, is part of therapy. Coming to therapy as a queer person does not mean therapy has to be about being queer.
- Consensual non-monogamy, polyamory and kink are treated as relationship structures and practices, not symptoms.
- Sessions are online, so you can join from wherever feels private and safe.
